The GE 51107 Smart Home Wireless Alarm System Kit is capable of monitoring one door and three windows, and doesn't require screws to install - although the kit does include them so that you have the option of tape (also included) or screws. When activated, the door and window alarms of this GE wireless alarm system have 120 decibel sirens that go off when the door or windows are opened. Each window alarm can be set to three different modes - on, off and chime. The chime mode can be used when you have small children in the house, to alert you when one has opened a window. The door alarm also has on, off and chime modes. The door alarm operates with a simple keypad. You can choose between an instant or a delayed alarm, and when you set it to away mode, you have 45 seconds to leave your home. When you get home, you have 30 seconds after opening the door to type in your pin number to deactivate the alarm. The door and window alarms all operate off batteries, and are therefore wireless. They also operate independent from each other, so that if one has batteries that go dead, the rest will continue to function just fine. GE wireless alarm systems like this one cost $25.00 on average. |
